It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Hemet Bulldogs had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Panthers a 1-0 shutout.
Hemet's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-9-5. As for Diamond Ranch, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-3-7.
Hemet will square off against Savanna at TBD on Friday. Hemet's last ten matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Diamond Ranch does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
