After a string of three wins, the Delavan Panthers's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 62-49 to Tremont. Delavan lost against Tremont in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 73-52 score last time.
Delavan's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Micah Brockhouse, who scored 16 points. Brockhouse has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Bryson Horning was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Delavan's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Tremont, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Delavan is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Pekin at 5:00 p.m. on December 6th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Pekin is ranked 116th, while Delavan is ranked 107th). As for Tremont, they will head out on the road to face off against Illinois Valley Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
