Basketball Recap: Athens Christian Preparatory Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Kiley Normandin and Camille Reid

Athens Christian Preparatory Academy lost against St. Mary back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Athens Christian Preparatory Academy Storm took a 49-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Mary's.

Athens Christian Preparatory Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Camille Reid, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards, and Kiley Normandin, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. Normandin is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

Even though they lost, Athens Christian Preparatory Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Athens Christian Preparatory Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for St. Mary's, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Athens Christian Preparatory Academy will head out to take on Regents Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 21st. As for St. Mary's, they are taking a road trip to challenge Trinity School of Texas at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Trinity School of Texas has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
