Softball Recap: Hackleburg Takes Down South Lamar in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Hackleburg rose to the challenge on Thursday. Everything went their way against the South Lamar Stallions as they made off with a 13-1 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 24 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Hackleburg is on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 22 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 36-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for South Lamar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-19.

Hackleburg wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 13-0 win against Athens Bible on the 8th. South Lamar does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
