After a string of eight wins, Canyon's good fortune finally ran out  on Saturday. They came up short against  the West Plains Wolves, falling  3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Eagles haven't been shut out since  back in September.
 The  defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive:  West Plains scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17,  25-21.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Plains to victory, but perhaps none more so than   CC Murillo, who  had 15 assists and 11  digs. Murillo has been hot for a while, having  posted 13 or more  assists the last 23 times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Idaly Sotelo, who  had 14  digs and five  assists.
Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 21-15. As for West Plains, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-11 record  this season.
 Canyon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Plains, they will square off against Seminole at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
