Division III recap October 1, 2013
Woodstock extended the longest winning streak in Division III this week by beating Mill River, 42-28. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Wasps.
Otter Valley was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from eighth to fifth in the league. Earlier in the week, the Otters defeated Mt. St. Joseph Academy 77-24.
U-32's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Raiders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Matt Greene has thrown for 120 yards and 3 touchdowns this season, while Matt Smith has 2 catches for 60 yards.
Colby Brochu of the U-32 is just 100 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 70 carries Brochu has accumulated 900 yard this year.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Mt. Abraham/Vergennes takes on Oxbow. The Eagles are in third place, while the Olympians are in eighth place.
