The West-Oak Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell to Calhoun Falls Charter 52-47. West-Oak lost against Calhoun Falls Charter in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 78-54 score last time.
Despite the loss, West-Oak still got an impressive performance from Lucas Towe, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. Brett Winegard was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
West-Oak has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Calhoun Falls Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.
West-Oak will head out on the road to face off against Pendleton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pendleton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Calhoun Falls Charter and Dixie will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Dixie's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches.
