Westinghouse extended their winning streak to three on Saturday, bumping their season record up to 3-3 in the process. They put the hurt on the Steinmetz College Prep Silver Streaks with a sharp 32-13 victory. The Warriors' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Emily Coleman made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Coleman was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with one home run, five runs, and six RBI. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Jocelyn Lewis was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with six stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Jamilah Tobler was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases.
Westinghouse was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .558. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Steinmetz College Prep only posted a batting average of .227.
As for Steinmetz College Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.8 runs over those games.
On Steinmetz College Prep's side, Dinasti Bell and Yaslene Ruiz did some serious damage despite the final result: Bell went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base, while Ruiz got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Bell has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Marcia Jackson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.
