The Mingus Marauders will head out to take on the Paradise Honors Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Paradise Honors took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Mingus, who comes in off a win.
Mingus' pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Moon Valley 24-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Marauders.
Alice Kinsey made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance gave her a new career-low in hits. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Maddison Lusebrink was incredible, scoring five runs and stealing Three bases. while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs. Elora Bakhaus was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 3-for-5.
Mingus always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Moon Valley only posted an OBP of .263.
Meanwhile, Paradise Honors didn't have quite enough to beat Cactus Shadows on Friday and fell 4-2. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Olivia Jimenez Facio spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits.
Paradise Honors' loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Mingus, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Mingus' speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's contest. Mingus has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 11.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Paradise Honors, though, as they've been averaging only 0.9 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Mingus continue to outrun the ball?
Mingus couldn't quite get it done against Paradise Honors when the teams last played back in May of 2021 as they fell 6-3. Can Mingus avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
