Webbers Falls hasn't had much luck against Hulbert recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Warriors will host the Riders at 4:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.
Hulbert's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Friday: Webbers Falls hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Warriors didn't even let Wilson-Henryetta on the board on Monday, marking the Warriors' second-straight 9-0 shutout. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by eight runs or more this season.
Gunner Shelby was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Webbers Falls is undefeated when Shelby posts two or more runs, but 1-2 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brutus Robinson, who earned two RBI, two runs, and two stolen bases. He has become a key player for Webbers Falls: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-2 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Trysten Wilbourn, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
Hulbert came out on top against Colcord on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Riders put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 9-2 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Riders have posted against the Hornets since April 14, 2017.
Like Webbers Falls, Hulbert also got a great game from a two-way player: Weston Jenkins. Throwing, Jenkins pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Logan Beeler didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. At the plate, Jenkins got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs, while Beeler went 2-for-3 with one double.
In other batting news, Luke Kubisch was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Clinton, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Webbers Falls pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hulbert, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Webbers Falls might still be hurting after the 17-3 defeat they got from Hulbert in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
