Meanwhile, Friendship Collegiate Academy faced Anacostia in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Friendship Collegiate Academy walked away with a 61-52 win over Anacostia on Saturday.
Friendship Collegiate Academy found their leader in underclassman Madyson Crawford, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that Crawford scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was London Gailbraith, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds.
Parkside's loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Friendship Collegiate Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.
Parkside was dealt a bruising 60-12 defeat at the hands of Friendship Collegiate Academy in their previous meeting back in January. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Parkside was down 52-8.
