David City had a senior duo take command as Reese Svoboda went 11 of 16 en route to 32 points in addition to five boards and three steals and Cameron Hlavac posted 15 points. The game was Svoboda's fourth in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caelan Olson, who earned five points.
Superior lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Colten Butler, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Dayne Clark was another key player, putting up 11 points and five boards.
David City's win bumped their record up to 3-16. As for Superior, they dropped their record down to 1-18 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. David City will head out to challenge Madison at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Superior, they are taking a road trip to take on Smith Center at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
