Meanwhile, Southland Christian's game on Friday was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top in a nail-biter against IMG Academy and snuck past 47-44.
Southland Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Derek Lopez out in front who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Juan Rios, who scored 12 points along with 5 assists.
Pathways' defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Southland Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Pathways hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 60.9 points per game. It's a different story for Southland Christian, though, as they've been averaging only 61 per game. The only thing between Pathways and another offensive beatdown is Southland Christian.
