Caleb Bates posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out ten batters over 6.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
