Even though the East Stroudsburg North Timberwolves scored an imposing 60 points on Friday, the Pocono Mountain West Panthers still came out on top. Pocono Mountain West managed a 66-60 win over East Stroudsburg North. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Pocono Mountain West.
Several Timberwolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nate Wilder, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Wilder scored a full 26.7% of East Stroudsburg North's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryceson Dobie, who scored 23 points along with 5 rebounds.
Pocono Mountain West now has a winning record of 2-1. As for East Stroudsburg North, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pocono Mountain West will take on Bethlehem Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethlehem Catholic comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for East Stroudsburg North, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Louis E. Dieruff at 7:00 p.m.
