Hamilton Southeastern lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Deion Miles, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Jack Jacobs, who scored four points along with two steals.
Hamilton Southeastern struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Westfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trey Buchanan, who scored five points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Harvey, who scored six points.
This is the second loss in a row for Hamilton Southeastern and nudges their season record down to 8-5. As for Westfield, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Hamilton Southeastern won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Anderson at 7:30 p.m. on January 13th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Anderson is ranked 20th, while Hamilton Southeastern is ranked 15th). As for Westfield, they will head out on the road to take on Noblesville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Noblesville is on a four-game streak of home wins, Westfield a nine-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
