It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the South Aiken Thoroughbreds ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They managed a 57-52 win over Airport. The win made it back-to-back wins for South Aiken.
Ladontae Felton was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Tyler Nipper was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six steals.
South Aiken's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-15. As for Airport, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Midland Valley the next time they take the court. Airport will host Midland Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while South Aiken will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
