Monadnock and Conant are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Monadnock Huskies will head out on the road to square off against the Conant Orioles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Monadnock posted their closest victory yet this season on Saturday. They skirted past Brattleboro 53-51.
Meanwhile, Conant put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Campbell 49-33. Given Conant's advantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while Campbell is ranked 26th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Monadnock has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season. As for Conant, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Monadnock ended up a good deal behind Conant when the teams last played back in December of 2023, losing 55-37. Can Monadnock avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
