Unioto is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Miami Trace is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Shermans will take on the Panthers in a tournament on Thursday.
Unioto is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Westfall just ended the team's five-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 3-2.
In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Unioto sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-27, 25-14, 23-25, 15-8.

Meanwhile, Miami Trace hadn't done well against Athens recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Panthers came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 3-1.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-19, 15-25, 25-10.
Miami Trace's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Unioto, their loss dropped their record down to 18-4.
Unioto came out on top in a nail-biter against Miami Trace in their previous matchup back in October of 2021, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Shermans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
