State tournaments are underway throughout the country with major implications for the MaxPreps Top 25 high school girls basketball rankings.
In Texas, postseason play enters the third round this week under the new format that divided each classification into two divisions. No. 19
Boswell (Fort Worth) and No. 20
Judson (Converse) could be headed for a championship game showdown in the Class 6A Division II bracket.
Indiana is down to its semi-state matchups in Class 4A with No. 9
Hamilton Southeastern (Fishers) looking for its first state title since 2019. The Royals are unblemished this season and tangle with 19-7
Valparaiso on Saturday morning.
The winners will most likely play for the Southern Section Open title, but all four should pop back into the Southern California Open Division bracket and have a shot to earn a trip to play for the state title March 15.

Tennessee commit Mia Pauldo recently topped the 2,000 point mark for her career while helping Morris Catholic to a No. 2 spot in the MaxPreps Top 25 rankings. (FILE PHOTO: Audrey Eapen)
