North Vermillion extended the longest winning streak in Wabash River this week by beating Rockville, 54-20. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Falcons.
North Vermillion led the league in scoring this week after putting up 54 points on the Rox.
Attica's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brady Sheridan threw for 166 and one touchdown and Carson Davis had 98 yards receiving. On the ground Lance Whorrall chipped in 93 yards. J.R. Dunwell helped Attica's passing attack out by catching one ball for 45 yards.
Attica's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Red Ramblers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Sheridan has thrown for 471 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Dunwell has 10 catches for 139 yards. Davis leads the league in rushing with 576 yards.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Falcons take on Fountain Central. North Vermillion has allowed 81 points this season, while the Mustangs have given up 63. The Falcons allowed 20 points last week as they topped Rockville.
Fountain Central made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,918 from 4,619. The advance stemmed from a 21-7 victory over Benton Central last week.
