After a disappointing 8 points in their last contest, Cyril made sure to put some points up on the board against Central on Friday. Cyril put a hurting on Central to the tune of 46-0. Cyril were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Cyril's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but junior Jakobie Kaesemeyer led the charge as he rushed for 89 yards and 1 touchdown. Junior Jose Rivera was in the mix, too, providing Cyril with 2 touchdowns.
The victory bumped Cyril's record up to 3-2. The loss dropped Central's record to 1-3.
Next week Cyril take on Geary at 7:00 PM. Geary are limping into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Central will be staying on the road, facing off against Bray-Doyle. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
