The Webster County Trojans will venture away from home to square off against the Trinity Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Webster County turned things around against Ohio County on Monday. They never let the Eagles get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by nine runs or more this season.

The result came thanks to Cooper Logan's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Webster County is 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-10 otherwise.
At the plate, Jackson Edens was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and four runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Brenen Ferrell also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Meanwhile, Trinity got the win against Hopkins County Central on Tuesday by a conclusive 15-0. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Storm recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
The team relied heavily on Isaac Hernandez, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Cale Boarman, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Trinity always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Webster County's record now sits at 11-12. As for Trinity, their record is now 5-14.
Webster County came out on top in a nail-biter against Trinity in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
