Gallatin (Mo.) defeated
Maysville (Mo.) 49-21 while riding the arm of
Zack Lollar, who tossed four touchdown passes.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Lollar to
Chad Ness in the first quarter, the Bulldogs led 21-13 at the half.
Gallatin expanded its lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. GHS scored five times in the third, including once on a
Issac Mattis touchdown run.
Lollar and Ness teamed up to form a dynamic passing combination. Ness has now caught four touchdowns this season, while Lollar has thrown nine.
Dakota Peterson made a difference for the Wolverines. The senior threw one touchdown and ran for one touchdown.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 30-7 win for the Bulldogs.
Maysville (3-4) goes up against South Harrison in a Grand River game matchup next week, while Gallatin (4-3) locks horns with Albany also in a Grand River game.
