Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Whiteland Warriors walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 52-23 victory over the Trojans on the road. The victory was just what Whiteland needed coming off of a 64-42 defeat in their prior game.
Whiteland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carly Vondielingen out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Sukhman Bains was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Whiteland's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for East Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-17.
Whiteland will face off against the Olympians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Columbus East focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Thursday. East Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
