Marian Catholic can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Saint Viator Lions. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Marian Catholic not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Saint Viator between 20 and 21 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21.

Marian Catholic's win bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Saint Viator, they dropped their record down to 4-16 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Marian Catholic will challenge Chicago Mt. Carmel at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Saint Viator, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Benet Academy at 6:00 p.m.
