Shoemaker is 0-5 against Bryan since February of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Wolves will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Shoemaker will be strutting in after a victory while Bryan will be coming in after a defeat.
Having struggled with 11 losses in a row, Shoemaker turned things around against Killeen on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over the Kangaroos. The Wolves not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 19th (when they won 13-1).

Aiden Toth made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off six hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Shoemaker's success: when he posts at least three hits the team is 2-1 (and 1-11 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Martin Sanchez was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dylan Vinton, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs.
Shoemaker kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Killeen only managed four.
Meanwhile, Bryan fell victim to Harker Heights and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 10-0. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Bryan's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Shoemaker, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-12.
