Even though the East Carter Raiders have not done well against the West Carter Comets recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. East Carter blew past West Carter 63-27 at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-11.
Savannah Adams continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 15 points. Kinsley Rutledge was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for East Carter and bumps their season record up to 10-4. As for West Carter, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
East Carter will be playing in front of their home fans against Fairview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fairview is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for West Carter, they will head out on the road to face off against Morgan County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
