The win was a breath of fresh air for Lake Ridge Academy as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Lake Ridge Academy found their leader in underclassman Kathryn Krueger, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Krueger has scored all season. Zaya Battur was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Lake Ridge Academy's victory ended a 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-12. As for Varsity Opponent, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 106-366.
Lake Ridge Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Wellington School at 1:00 p.m. on January 27th. Wellington School will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Varsity Opponent, they will head out on the road to challenge Christian Fellowship at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
