LaCrosse and Otis-Bison are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The LaCrosse Leopards will head out on the road to face off against the Otis-Bison Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, LaCrosse didn't have too much trouble with Dighton on the road as they won 47-30. That's two games straight that LaCrosse has won by exactly 17 points.
LaCrosse's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madison Morgan, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. The game was Morgan's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Parrott, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Otis-Bison had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They breezed by Chase on the road to the tune of 66-30. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Otis-Bison has managed all season.
The win makes it two in a row for LaCrosse and bumps their season record up to 4-1. As for Otis-Bison, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-1.
LaCrosse didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Otis-Bison when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 25-20 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for LaCrosse since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
