Basketball Recap: Academe of the Oaks Skates Past the New School with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cross Keys, Academe of the Oaks was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 49-22 victory over The New School. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Firebirds also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Academe of the Oaks' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Judah Huckaby, who almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ethan Williams, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten assists.

The win got Academe of the Oaks back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Academe of the Oaks will challenge Hills Academy at 4:30 p.m. on the 21st. The New School will be paying especially close attention to Academe of the Oaks' game: after Academe of the Oaks faces off against Atlanta Jewish Academy, they'll take on The New School again at 4:30 p.m. on December 5.
