The Amador Valley Dons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 26 points or more this season. They blew past Churchill County, posting a 71-25 win on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Amador Valley who now have five in a row.
Churchill County's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Braden Sorensen, who scored 12 points, and Luke Glinka who scored nine points. Sorensen continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Churchill County struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Amador Valley's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Churchill County, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
Amador Valley won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pittsburg at 6:00 p.m. on December 29, 2023. Pittsburg has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 582 points over their last eight contests. Churchill County and Aragon will round out the year against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at. Aragon will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 521st in California, while Churchill County is ranked 56th in Nevada).
