The Minuteman Regional Minuteman will head out on the road to face off against the Northeast Metro RVT Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, Minuteman Regional took a serious blow against Keefe Tech, falling 68-38.
Meanwhile, Northeast Metro RVT's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 54-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Greater Lawrence Tech. Northeast Metro RVT has not had much luck with Greater Lawrence Tech recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Despite their loss, Northeast Metro RVT saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Chris Zullo, who scored nine points along with four steals, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Jack Murphy, who scored seven points.
Minuteman Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Northeast Metro RVT, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2.
Minuteman Regional might still be hurting after the 76-53 defeat they got from Northeast Metro RVT when the teams last played back in January. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Minuteman Regional was down 43-22.
