The Northeast Dubois Jeeps were the 33-20 winner over the Jasper Wildcats when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Northeast Dubois took a 40-23 bruising from Jasper on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Northeast Dubois has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Northeast Dubois lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lyllee Schnell. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Northeast Dubois now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Jasper, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northeast Dubois will face off against Shoals at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Shoals will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 339th, while Northeast Dubois is ranked 136th). As for Jasper, they will head out on the road to face off against Southridge at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Southridge will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
