After two weeks on the road, Halifax Academy is heading back home. On Friday they take on Community Christian at HOMECOMING at 6:00 PM. Halifax Academy are cruising in on a four-game winning streak while Community Christian are stumbling in off of four consecutive losses.
Halifax Academy faced Pungo Christian Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Halifax Academy skirted past Pungo Christian Academy 34-32. Junior Eli Harris, who rushed for 220 yards and 2 touchdowns, was a major factor in Halifax Academy's success. This marked the 4th matchup in which Harris has rushed for over 100 yards.
Meanwhile, Community Christian took a serious blow against Northeast Academy last Friday, falling 14-54.
Halifax Academy's win lifted them to 4-0 while Community Christian's defeat dropped them down to 1-4. We'll find out if Halifax Academy can add another positive mark to their record or if Community Christian can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Halifax Academy's step.
