Millington Central has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. Having just played yesterday, they will head out on the road to face off against the Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Millington Central is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Raleigh-Egypt in Tennessee (Millington Central is ranked 188th, while Raleigh-Egypt is ranked 382nd).
On Thursday, Millington Central was able to grind out a solid victory over Craigmont, taking the game 50-38.
Millington Central found their leader in underclassman Arianna Whiten, who scored 13 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Whiten has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Boone, who scored three points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Raleigh-Egypt's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They took a hard 40-26 fall against Craigmont. Raleigh-Egypt has not had much luck with Craigmont recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Millington Central pushed their record up to 11-8 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for Raleigh-Egypt, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
Everything came up roses for Millington Central against Raleigh-Egypt in their previous matchup on January 9th as the squad secured a 55-20 win. With Millington Central ahead 42-16 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
