The Ayersville Pilots can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 55-29 margin over Fort Jennings. With Ayersville ahead 37-17 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Ayersville had a senior duo take command as Ally Schindler scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals and Kiersten Manon scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Manon scored 15 or more points. Lanie Sheets was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Ayersville's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points per game. As for Fort Jennings, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ayersville will take on the Archers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Antwerp will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 386th, while the Pilots are ranked 90th). As for Fort Jennings, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lancers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
