The Hale Cardinals lost against the Rock Port Blue Jays back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Hale received a tough blow as they fell 66-49 to Rock Port. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hale has scored all season.
Rock Port got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jack Meyerkorth out in front who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Meyerkorth is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. Cade Makings was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five assists.
Hale's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Rock Port, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.
Hale will be playing at home against Northwestern at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rock Port won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against East Harrison [Ridgeway/Cainsville] at 10:30 a.m. on December 29th.
