Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fairfax HomeSchool). They put the hurt on the Front Royal HomeSchool Flames with a sharp 12-6 victory on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Hawks, who have now won five contests in a row.

Will McPherson looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Fairfax HomeSchool let JP Moore and Silas Yoho run wild. Moore scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Yoho scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave Moore a new career-high. Caleb Alberts was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Fairfax HomeSchool was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in six consecutive matches.

Fairfax HomeSchool pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Front Royal HomeSchool, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.
