The Caney Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 60-44 bruising from Tushka. Caney was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Tushka apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Tagen Simon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tushka, scoring 36 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. The game was Simon's fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Caney has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9-1 record this season. As for Tushka, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caney will take on Stringtown at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tushka, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Rock Creek at 8:00 p.m. on January 12th.
