Lucas Meyer Dazzles in Heights Loss
Starting off the list is Heights's Lucas Meyer, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Meyer rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 65 receiving yards and a touchdown. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September of 2023.
Meyer must have South's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Meyer saw the Titans), he rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries.

The second Heights player making an appearance here is Darius Rogers, and for good reason. He rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
On the season, Rogers has run in 3 touchdowns while averaging 56.8 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown.

Mason Made His Presence Known in Northwest's 38-17 Loss
Northwest had to settle for second on Friday, but Jaylen Mason sure wasn't going down easily. Mason was unstoppable, rushing for 94 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 113 yards on five of 18 attempts.
Northwest's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-1. It'll be Northside v. Southside when they and South meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Wayman Kidd's Big Game Can't Quite Lead West over Louisburg
Rounding off our Top Five is Wayman Kidd of West. Kidd made 12 total tackles (3.0 for loss). Kidd is crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least six every time he's taken the field this season.
West dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. It'll be Eastside v. Westside when they and Southeast meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
