The Thomas Academy Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Scotland Christian Academy Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Thomas Academy will be strutting in after a win while Scotland Christian Academy will be coming in after a loss.
Thomas Academy was handed a 20-point loss in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against LifeSpring Academy on Monday. Thomas Academy narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past LifeSpring Academy 40-37. The victory was just what Thomas Academy needed coming off of a 65-45 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Scotland Christian Academy pushed their score all the way to 75 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 85-75 to Calvary Christian. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (56), Scotland Christian Academy still had to take the loss.
Despite their loss, Scotland Christian Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kadin Bryson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Tavon Farmer, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds.
Thomas Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Scotland Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season.
Thomas Academy came up short against Scotland Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 48-37.
