Olentangy typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Olentangy Liberty proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Braves by a score of 51-40. That's two games straight that Olentangy Liberty has won by exactly 11 points.
It was another big night for Gigi Bower, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Olentangy Liberty's points. Another player making a difference was Addy Pyles, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Dublin Coffman strolled past Hilliard Bradley with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 55-40. Given Dublin Coffman's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 154th, while Hilliard Bradley is ranked 363rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Olentangy Liberty has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Dublin Coffman, they pushed their record up to 7-8 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Olentangy Liberty didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Dublin Coffman in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 58-52 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Olentangy Liberty since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
