Pioneer moved up to 681 from 753 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Del Rio. The Titans were able to move up by topping Mountain View 45-42.
Santa Fe fell to Santiago 56-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Pioneer's dynamic duo of Jonathan Jimenez and Julio Reynoso proved to be unstoppable against the Vikings, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Jimenez threw for 297 yards and 4 touchdowns and Reynoso had 89 yards receiving. Julian Espitia helped Pioneer's passing attack out by catching 7 balls for 73 yards.
Chuck Willig's team's dynamic duo of Jimenez and Reynoso proved tough for Mountain View to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Jimenez put up the best numbers in passing as the Titans bested Victor Ambruso's team.
Reynoso was the best wideout in the league this week as Pioneer topped the Vikings.
AARON ESCARENO was the best running back in the league this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 148 yards as El Rancho topped Mountain View. Teammate RYAN ARAUJO added to the ground attack by rushing for 58 yards.
He was 30-42 with 1 interception.
Pioneer's Jimenez and Matthew Rodriguez have formed a dream team this season, leading Del Rio in both passing and receiving yards. Jimenez has thrown for 1,153 yards this season, while Rodriguez, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 21 catches for 329 yards. ESCARENO from the Dons leads the league in rushing with 373 yards.
El Rancho and Montebello played the most contested game in the league this week, with El Rancho eventually emerging with a 30-29 victory. ESCARENO during the win.
