Durham Academy had a senior duo take command as Joe Ruth went 7 for 11 on his way to 16 points and five steals and PJ Jeffries went 7 of 10 on his way to 19 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Ruth a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of JJ Wilcox, who posted ten points in addition to six boards and three steals.
The victory (which was Durham Academy's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 50.2 points. As for Clinton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Coincidentally, Durham Academy and Clinton will both be playing Cross the next time they take the court. Durham Academy will head out to face Cross at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, while Clinton will head out to face them at 12:45 p.m. on Monday.
