The Somerset Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Southwest Dragons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Somerset is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Last Saturday, Somerset earned a 41-34 win over Seguin.
Meanwhile, Southwest came up short against Jones on Saturday and fell 42-31.
Lillian Covarrubias put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 9 points. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Stephanie Gonzalez, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
Somerset's win bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Southwest, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Somerset strolled past Southwest in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 by a score of 47-29. The rematch might be a little tougher for Somerset since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
