Basketball Recap: Summit Academy Takes Down Climate Justice in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Summit Academy rose to the challenge on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Climate Justice 79-52. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Summit Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jasper Meissner out in front who posted 26 points in addition to six assists and six rebounds. Cincere Tucker was another key player, putting up 23 points along with eight assists and three steals.

Summit Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Summit Academy pushed their record up to 24-5 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38.1 points. As for Climate Justice, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-4 record.

Looking ahead, Summit Academy will square off against Brooklyn Community Arts & Media at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brooklyn Community Arts & Media will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Summit Academy surely won't give up without a fight. Climate Justice does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
