Bladensburg has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on The Oxon Hill Clippers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Bladensburg's game was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 18-6 win over Parkdale.
Marcus Ross was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns. Ross was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards. Ezekiel Williams made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Meanwhile, Oxon Hill got themselves on the board against Northwestern on Friday, but Northwestern never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 55-0 win over the Wildcats at home. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Oxon Hill just coasted through the last quarter.
Aaron Ayodeji looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 124 yards and three touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes.
Bladensburg's victory on Friday also bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Oxon Hill, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.
Bladensburg was taken down by Oxon Hill 50-6 when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Can Bladensburg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
