On Saturday, Bowne lost to the Gaels on the road by a decisive 63-48 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bowne has scored all season.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Darrel Taylor, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Messiah Person-Kennedy, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Bowne's defeat dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Iona Prep, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.
Bowne does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Iona Prep won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Friars at 3:45 p.m. on February 4th. St. Anthony's will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
