It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Sunrise Christian Academy Buffaloes had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Abundant Life at home to the tune of 55-7. Considering Sunrise Christian Academy has won seven contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Sunrise Christian Academy was led to victory by Cleve Sutherland and Wade Keller. Sutherland picked up 165 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Keller threw for 232 yards and six touchdowns. Darren Allison was another key contributor, gaining 73 total yards and a touchdown.
Sunrise Christian Academy's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 39.67 points. As for Abundant Life, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
Sunrise Christian Academy will take on Destiny Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Destiny Christian is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last nine games. Abundant Life does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
